Ash Mayfair est née au Vietnam et a fait ses études au Royaume-Uni et aux États-Unis, où elle a obtenu un master en cinéma à la Tisch School of the Arts de l'Université de New York. Ses courts métrages incluent The Silver Man (11), Sam (11), Heart of a Doll (11), Grasshopper (12) et Lupo (16). The Third Wife (18) est son premier long métrage.
