John Nicholas 'Dick' Foran (18 juin 1910 – 10 août 1979) était un acteur américain, connu pour ses performances dans les westerns musicaux et pour ses rôles secondaires dans des films dramatiques. Signé sous le nom de Nick Foran par la Fox en 1934, il rejoint Warner Bros. en 1935 comme acteur de soutien, adoptant le prénom Dick. Mesurant 1,88 m et aux cheveux roux, il chantait dans des films comme Change of Heart (1934) avec Janet Gaynor. Il incarna le cow-boy chantant dans son premier rôle principal, Moonlight on the Prairie (1935), suivi de Song of the Saddle (1936), Guns of the Pecos (1937), Empty Holsters (1937) et Cowboy from Brooklyn (1938). En 1938, il rejoint Universal Studios, jouant dans divers genres, de l'horreur aux comédies avec Abbott et Costello, comme Ride 'Em Cowboy (1942). Il participa au film de guerre Private Buckaroo (1942) et à des titres comme The Petrified Forest (1936), The Sisters (1938), Rangers of Fortune (1940), The Mummy's Hand (1940) et Keep 'Em Flying (1941). Parmi ses derniers rôles, un petit dans Donovan's Reef (1963) avec John Wayne, et son dernier apparition fut en tant que prospecteur 'Old Timer' dans Brighty of the Grand Canyon (1967).
