Vie et carriere
John Rich est un réalisateur de cinéma et de télévision. Il a dirigé des séries télévisées telles que Where's Raymond?, Mister Ed, The Dick Van Dyke Show, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Maude, Good Times, Barney Miller, Newhart, Benson, The Brady Bunch et Gilligan's Island. Ses longs métrages incluent Wives and Lovers, Boeing Boeing, Roustabout et Easy Come, Easy Go (ces deux derniers avec Elvis Presley). Il a également participé à la retransmission en direct des cérémonies d'ouverture de Disneyland en 1955. Il a remporté un Emmy pour The Dick Van Dyke Show, deux Emmys pour All in the Family et deux Golden Globes pour All in the Family. Dans les années 1980, Rich et Henry Winkler ont fondé une société de production appelée Henry Winkler/John Rich Productions et ont produit MacGyver pour Paramount Television. Rich a étudié à l'Université du Michigan.
