Lucy est la rédactrice en chef des fictions dramatiques pour la BBC en Angleterre. Elle a supervisé une large gamme de productions, incluant des drames factuels comme la série primée Three Girls, The Sixth Commandment, les films Small Axe de Steve McQueen, Four Lives, The Moorside, The Reckoning, Damilola, Our Loved Boy, A Very English Scandal, A Very British Scandal, Kidnapped et The Trial of Christine Keeler. Parmi ses autres drames notables, on trouve Mood, Years and Years, The Split, River, The Hour, The A Word, Ralph and Katie, World on Fire, Best Interests, Top of the Lake, Broken, Care, Anthony et Time.
