Vie et carriere
Thomas John Giuliano II (né le 9 février 1969), connu professionnellement sous le nom de Tom Scharpling, est un comédien, scénariste, producteur, réalisateur de clips, acteur vocal et animateur de radio américain. Il est surtout connu pour animer l'émission de radio internet hebdomadaire The Best Show with Tom Scharpling (anciennement The Best Show on WFMU), pour prêter sa voix à Greg Universe dans la série animée Steven Universe et sa suite Steven Universe Future, et pour avoir été scénariste/producteur exécutif de la série télévisée Monk. Scharpling a également été scénariste pour Tom Goes to the Mayor et Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! À partir de 1999, il a sorti six albums avec son partenaire comique Jon Wurster sous le nom de Scharpling & Wurster. En tant qu'écrivain, ses travaux ont été publiés dans GQ, New York Magazine et Harp. Depuis 2010, Scharpling a réalisé des clips pour The New Pornographers, Ted Leo, Titus Andronicus, Wild Flag, Aimee Mann, Real Estate, Frankie Cosmos et The Ettes.
