Alan Burnett is een televisieschrijver en -producent die vooral bekend is van zijn werk voor DC Comics en Walt Disney's televisie-animatie. Hij heeft sinds de laatste jaren van 'Super Friends' bij vrijwel elk geanimeerd DC-project een rol gespeeld en was daar in 2008 nog steeds actief in. Voor Disney was Burnett vooral betrokken bij de Disney Afternoon in de jaren 90, waaronder 'Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears' en verschillende projecten in het universum van Dagobert Duck. Door zijn focus op televisie-animatie heeft hij af en toe ook aan filmprojecten gewerkt die verband hielden met een televisieserie.
