Christopher Godwin

Christopher Godwin (geboren op 5 augustus 1943) is een Britse acteur die sinds de late jaren zestig actief is. Hij maakte zijn tv-debuut op 25-jarige leeftijd met de rol van PC Grange in een aflevering van 'Softly, Softly'. Sindsdien speelde hij in televisiedrama's zoals 'Z-Cars', 'Nearly a Happy Ending', 'Return to Waterloo', 'South of the Border', 'Return to Treasure Island', 'Nice Work', 'The Voyage of the Dawn Treader', 'My Family and Other Animals', 'FairyTale: A True Story', 'The Bill', 'Murder in Mind', 'Waking the Dead' en 'The Peter Principle (There's Something About Geoffrey)'. Zijn filmcarrière omvat rollen in 'Porridge' (1979), 'Charlie Muffin' (1979), 'Bullshot' (1983), 'A Handful of Dust' (1988), 'FairyTale: A True Story' (1997), 'Jinnah' (1998), 'Scoop' (2006), 'A Viking Saga: The Darkest Day' (2013), 'The Crucible' (2014), 'Mary Poppins Returns' (2018), 'Emma' (2020) en 'The Dig' (2021). In 2012 had hij een gastrol in Seizoen 1, Aflevering 4 van 'A Young Doctor's Notebook' als Leopold Leopoldovitch. Hij sprak ook stemmen in voor Darth Vowrawn in de videogame 'Star Wars: The Old Republic', Kanselier Roderick in 'Dragon Age: Inquisition', en drie personages in 'Subnautica' (Paul Torgal, Lifepod 7 Crew en Captain Hollister). In januari 2016 speelde hij Lord Berners in Aflevering 3 van het BBC Radio 4 middagdrama 'What England Owes'. Hij is ook de stem van Koning Carnelian in 'Dragon Quest XI'.
