Claes Bang werd geboren op 28 april 1967 in Denemarken als Claes Kasper Bang. Hij is een acteur, bekend van 'The Square' (2017), 'The Girl in the Spider's Web' (2018) en 'Bron/Broen' (2011). Hij is getrouwd met Lis Kasper Bang en studeerde in 1996 af aan de Deense Nationale School voor Podiumkunsten. Zijn naam wordt uitgesproken als 'Class Bun-g'. Naast zijn moedertaal Deens spreekt hij vloeiend Zweeds, Noors, Engels en Duits.
