Daniel Michael James werd geboren op 19 maart 1986 in Orange County, Californië. Hij is vooral bekend van de korte films die hij produceerde via zijn productiebedrijf Tragic Hero Productions. Na zijn werk bij Tragic Hero Productions speelt hij zowel in commerciële als onafhankelijke films.
