Leven en carriere

Daryl Hannah werd geboren en groeide op in Chicago, Illinois. Ze studeerde aan de University of Southern California (USC) en maakte haar filmdebuut in Brian De Palma's 'The Fury' (1978). Ze speelde in films als Ron Howard's 'Splash' (1984) en Herbert Ross' 'Steel Magnolias' (1989). In 1994 won ze de Jury Award van het Internationaal Filmfestival van Berlijn voor beste korte film voor 'The Last Supper' (1993), die ze regisseerde, schreef en produceerde.
