David Manis is vooral bekend van zijn gastrollen in series als The X-Files, Bull en The Blacklist, en heeft een uitgebreide theatercarrière. Hij speelde in 12 Broadway-producties, waaronder To Kill A Mockingbird, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, War Horse, The Coast of Utopia en Arcadia. Als toneelschrijver schreef hij onder andere 'Romeo Rosaline Potpan Juliet', 'Words Fail Me' en 'Pretending To Be Danish'.
