Huang Xi (Chinees: 黃熙), geboren in 1975 in Taipei, Taiwan, studeerde af aan de Tisch School of the Arts van de New York University. Ze werkte samen met regisseur Hou Hsiao-hsien aan de films Goodbye South Goodbye en The Assassin. Missing Johnny is haar regiedebuut.
