Ian Gilmour is een Nieuw-Zeelandse acteur en regisseur die voornamelijk in Australië heeft gewerkt. Hij speelde in verschillende Australische televisieseries, met name als Kevin Burns in Prisoner in 1980. Andere credits zijn The Box, Chopper Squad, Kingswood Country, Waterloo Station, A Country Practice en The Flying Doctors. Zijn filmcredits omvatten The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith, The Odd Angry Shot, Silver City, The Coca-Cola Kid, Malpractice en A Cry in the Dark. Later stapte hij over naar regisseren, met televisiecredits zoals The Flying Doctors, Heartbreak High, Water Rats, McLeod's Daughters, Flipper en Home and Away.
