Jeffrey Warren 'Jeff' Daniels (geboren op 19 februari 1955) is een Amerikaanse acteur. Hij richtte een non-profit theatergezelschap op, het Purple Rose Theatre Company, in zijn thuisstaat Michigan. Hij heeft in tal van toneelproducties gespeeld, zowel op als buiten Broadway. Hij werd genomineerd voor een Tony Award als Beste Acteur voor het Broadway-stuk God of Carnage (2009), samen met zijn drie medespelers. Zijn filmcarrière bloeide vanaf zijn debuut in Ragtime (1981) tot State of Play (2009). Voor zijn filmwerk kreeg hij drie Golden Globe-nominaties, waaronder voor Beste Acteur in een Komedie/Musical voor Woody Allen's The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985). Ook ontving hij nominaties van de Screen Actors Guild, Satellite Awards en diverse prijzen voor zijn rol in The Squid and the Whale.
