Joe Hisaishi (geboren als Mamoru Fujisawa op 6 december 1950) is een Japanse componist, muzikaal directeur, dirigent en pianist, bekend van meer dan 100 filmsoundtracks en soloalbums sinds 1981. Zijn muziek verkent diverse genres, zoals minimalisme, experimentele elektronica, westerse klassiek en Japanse klassiek. Hij werkte ook als muziekgraveur en arrangeur. Sinds 1984 werkt hij nauw samen met regisseur Hayao Miyazaki en componeerde hij de muziek voor bijna al diens films.
