Leven en carriere
John Paul Pinette (23 maart 1964 – 5 april 2014) was een Amerikaanse stand-upcomedian, acteur en Broadway-performer. Hij begon in de jaren tachtig op te treden in comedyclubs en verscheen ook in films en op televisie. Naast stand-up comedy deed Pinette diverse imitaties, waaronder van Michael Jackson, The Chipmunks, Elvis Presley, Gollum uit The Lord of the Rings, Hervé Villechaize (Tattoo van Fantasy Island), een Ewok, acteur Marlon Brando (met name diens rol in The Godfather), en een reeks regionale accenten. Af en toe zong hij in zijn optredens, met nummers als 'Over the Rainbow' uit The Wizard of Oz, 'Will You Be There' uit Free Willy en 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina'.
