Malcolm McDowell is een Engelse acteur met een carrière van meer dan veertig jaar. Hij is vooral bekend van zijn rollen in de controversiële films Caligula, If...., O Lucky Man! en A Clockwork Orange. Zijn veelzijdigheid heeft geleid tot optredens in vele films en televisieseries van uiteenlopende genres, zoals Tank Girl, Star Trek Generations, de televisieserie Our Friends in the North, Entourage, Heroes, Metalocalypse, de animatiefilm Bolt, de remake van Halloween uit 2007 en het vervolg Halloween II uit 2009. Ook is hij bekend als verteller van het baanbrekende documentaire The Compleat Beatles uit 1982.
