Mary Eileen McDonnell (geboren op 28 april 1952) is een Amerikaanse actrice in film, toneel en televisie. Ze werd genomineerd voor een Academy Award voor haar rollen in 'Dances With Wolves' en 'Passion Fish'. McDonnell is vooral bekend als president Laura Roslin in 'Battlestar Galactica', first lady Marilyn Whitmore in 'Independence Day' en Rose in 'Donnie Darko'. Ze speelde ook Captain Sharon Raydor in 'The Closer' en Commander Sharon Raydor in 'Major Crimes'. In 2023 vertolkte ze Madeleine Usher in de Netflix-miniserie 'The Fall of the House of Usher'.
