Matthew Robbins is een Amerikaans scenarioschrijver, filmproducent en regisseur. Hij is goede vrienden met Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Guillermo Del Toro en Walter Murch, en had cameo's in THX 1138 en Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Robbins werkte vaak samen met Hal Barwood. Hij schreef mee aan het scenario voor de Bollywood-thriller 7 Khoon Maaf, samen met Vishal Bhardwaj.
