Leven en carriere
Parkpoom Wongpoom, bijgenaamd Oh, is een Thaise regisseur en scenarioschrijver. Hij studeerde in 2000 af aan de Faculteit Communicatiekunsten, afdeling Film en Video, van de Rangsit Universiteit. Zijn eerste korte film, 'Luang Ta' (Oude Monnik), debuteerde op diverse filmfestivals, waaronder het Thai Short Film and Video Festival, het Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, het Singapore International Film Festival en het Pusan International Short Film Festival. De film won in 1 de prijzen voor Beste Regisseur en Beste Thaise Korte Film op het Bangkok Film Festival. Zijn tweede film, 'In the Eyes', werd ook vertoond op festivals zoals Asiexpo in Lyon (Frankrijk), het Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival, het Pusan International Film Festival, het Canadian World Wide Short Film Festival, Flickerfest in Australië en het Solothurn Film Festival. Daarnaast was hij jurylid voor korte films bij de Nokia Creative Arts Awards 2004 in Kuala Lumpur en het Bangkok International Film Festival 2005.
