Phoebe Belle Cates (geboren op 16 juli 1963) is een Amerikaanse actrice, model en onderneemster. Ze is vooral bekend van haar rollen in verschillende tienerfilms, met name 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High' (1982) en 'Gremlins' (1984). Haar laatste filmrol was in 'The Anniversary Party' (2001). Cates is sinds 1989 getrouwd met acteur Kevin Kline; samen hebben ze twee kinderen.
