Sala Baker is een acteur en stuntman uit Wellington, Nieuw-Zeeland. Oorspronkelijk werd hij aangenomen als een van de vele stuntperformers voor de filmtrilogie The Lord of the Rings, maar hij kreeg uiteindelijk de rol van de Duistere Heer Sauron. Daarnaast speelde hij ook verschillende Orks, een Gondoriaan en een Rohirrim. Buiten de trilogie heeft Baker gespeeld in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe en in twee Pirates of the Caribbean-films. Baker maakte ook deel uit van de diverse crew bij de productie van The Last Samurai in 2003.
