Leven en carriere
Sergio Leone (3 januari 1929 – 30 april 1989) was een Italiaanse filmregisseur, producent en scenarioschrijver, vooral bekend van het 'Spaghetti Western'-genre. Zijn kenmerkende stijl combineert extreme close-ups met lange totaalshots. Zijn bekendste films zijn The Colossus of Rhodes, de Dollars-trilogie (A Fistful of Dollars; For a Few Dollars More; en The Good, the Bad and the Ugly), Once Upon a Time in the West, Duck, You Sucker! en Once Upon a Time in America.
