Mark Sinclair Vincent, beter bekend als Vin Diesel (geboren in Alameda County, Californië, op 18 juli 1967), is een Amerikaans acteur, schrijver, muzikant, producer en regisseur. Hij maakte al jong zijn theaterdebuut bij For the New City en ontwikkelde een interesse voor scenarioschrijven, wat hij studeerde aan het Hunter College. Tijdens zijn studie werkte hij als portier bij discotheek Tunnel, waar hij zijn artiestennaam Diesel kreeg vanwege zijn energieke karakter. Na audities en een bijrol in 'Awakenings' regisseerde hij de korte film 'Multi-Facial', die op het Filmfestival van Cannes werd vertoond. Zijn doorbraak kwam na een auditie voor 'Saving Private Ryan' via Steven Spielberg. Hij verwierf faam als sciencefictionactieheld in 'The Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black' en 'The Chronicles of Riddick', en speelde een hoofdrol in 'The Fast and the Furious'-reeks, waarbij hij alleen in het tweede deel ontbrak. In 2013 kreeg hij een ster op de Hollywood Walk of Fame.
